This turn of events came about when Yahoo realized a single DDK club was created in the Yahoo Canada Clubs. After creating a DDK category in the main Yahoo Clubs, their only course of action was to give The DDK a category in Canada to accommodate

this single club.

The club is Damsel's Keep, created by T Shadow Wraith as a birthday present for Damsel. Shortly after the category was created another club was added to direct Canadians to The DDK.

The year in review

As Oct 17, 1999 was approaching The DDK was slowly dying. Member stopped logging in, chats were dying and hardly any messages where being posted, all the founders at the time where slacking off, and The DDK seemed to be knocking at death's door.

With the Anniversary of the club coming up, Damsel was inspired to move things along and not let the little club her Knight built for her vanish and be lost. On Oct 10 1999 with less than 100 members and only ONE post on the message board that day, a famous email was sent out which sparked the entire club. theddk@yahoo.com) Fourteen messages where posted the next day, members started logging in again, plans went into effect, rules where posts and the famous Evil whip carrying Damsel was born. (post # 958)

Less than a week to go to Oct 17, Gandof was recruited as web wizard and the first DDK website was launched. The birth of the Character spotlight had its daub naming Gandof as it's winner. Messages where being posts, whips where being cracked, and members starting coming out of the woodwork. Newbies like Nomad Scry Archmage Slayer, T Shadow Wraith, Shattered Knight, Steel Ronin, Laurynskye, Clare the Faery, Dragonelf, Laylahkislev Sting Hellsbane, Redragon Shaper changer, Terra Hawk and Knight Huma, took the ranks of The DDK's newest members.

Jin T Wizard (Post 1040) "The Apple" started the chain event of what everyone now knows The DDK to be…a message board RPG.

Just then when things were looking good, Yahoo decided to move The DDK out of it's 2nd category "RPG" and into another category called "Titles" on Oct 22. Evil Whip Cracking DID would have non of this!

The birth of the first UNddk came to be. It wasn't indented to be an OOC club, it was just suppose to get The DDK back into the category of RPGs. Little did we know by creating a 2nd club, it would start the birth of OOC clubs for other Role Playing Games.

When yahoo moved the UNddk into the same lame category of "titles" there was nothing left to do except make it unlisted and come up with another game plan.
